The presence of Arnabat Construction machines is common in the main works carried out throughout the territory. But there are some that, due to their uniqueness, call our attention or make us especially proud. Currently, there are different machines giving continuous service to the UTE Glorias, in the Las Glorias Square (Barcelona), the temporary union of companies in charge of carrying out the extensive renovation project of the square. In only a few decades we have seen how the square was urbanized, it acquired great urban relevance as a “new axis of centrality“, an elevated tambour was erected for the passage of cars and around it there were built a new shopping centre, skyscrapers such as the Agbar Tower, homes and all kinds of equipment.

But we have to go back much further to understand the importance of this square. Ildefonso Cerdá already drew the square on the drawing in his 1860 plan to reform and widen the city of Barcelona, as did the Europa Square in the neighbouring town of L’hospitalet. It took 160 years for the city’s growth to give way to the “new axis of centrality” defined by Ildefonso Cerdá.
In just three decades the square has undergone another great change and at Arnabat Construcción we have the opportunity to experience the evolution of the city’s physiognomy on a daily basis on site.
